I will be flying in to San Diego, renting a car and driving up to Long Beach. I don't think I'll need the car while I am there. Is there a car rental agency at or near the hotel for easy drop-off?

There is a free ride car system that runs around the downtown area between 10a and 10p. It is called The Free Ride. Worked very well while I was there to get around.

Download the "Free Ride" app. Select the Long Beach area. I use them every time I'm there. They drive you around for free. Tips are welcome. If it's a long distance, I would suggest Lyft (cheaper than Uber usually).

I tried to look up the free ride car system in LA n too many companies come up. Which one do I download?

We picked up our vehicle at the airport and dropped it off in downtown Long Beach.

I suggest to get rental car off airport. Much cheaper and they only few miles aways.

There are a few places a few blocks away. There are plenty of Long Beach bike share locations as an alternative.
