If Aster isn't at the animal shelter, there's a chance the dog was transferred to another organization: the Human society, a foster family or rescue group. Animal control keeps records so you should be able to find out. If you call, it's best if you have the anilmal ID # or go in person to learn more. Midday the lines are shortest. They get slammed when they open and near closing time. Good luck finding Aster!! She'll be worth the time you take to find her♡
You will have to check the site for the availability of a particular animal. But I recommend going down there as the Website does not always seem to be up to date and calling can be tedious.
