I'd check with the North Carolina Siberian husky rescue organization. Believe it or not there is such a group that dedicate themselves to rescuing that breed, fostering them until a loving permanent home can be found.
Dont take here. Go to the Humane Society. They are a no kill shelter. Also contact Amy at Providence Veterinary Associates. She loves Huskeys and can help you as well. She works at the Rea Rd location.
Try humane society
There are a lot of animal rescue groups in the area, like the Greater Charlotte SPCA that could help you.
Go to the Charlotte humane society, i have a friend who works there and they take great care of the animals, even surrenders. I don't trust the county shelter, but the humane society is a really trusted organization, id say go there.
You can learn about our owner surrender days and times here: https://charlottenc.gov/AnimalsCMPD/PetServices/Pages/OwnerSurrender.aspx
When do u euthenize dogs
The "county shelter" has come a long way over the years and works directly with Humane society, rescue groups, Greater Charlotte SPCA, and ASCPA. They are in fact partner organizations. Humane society is not an open admission shelter. They get alot of their animals from the county shelter.
You Can Only Surrender You Dog At That Shelter On Wednesday From 11am To 6pm. Hope That Helps..
