You didn't set up base camp to make her feel safe before shoving her into an unfamiliar environment? She's scared. Google how to care for cats and how to introduce them to your home. Next time, don't get a pet you're not prepared to take care of.
She has to be nervous. You cannot just bring an animal into a new environment and let them go to rule the roost at first. They also need their own place to go, just like we do when they're scared, need to eat, sleep, use the bathroom etc. Also, cats are heatseekers. She is probably lying there for warmth and under something out of fear of a new environment.
Put several litter boxes in home give her a space up high to feel safe until she feels confortable around house
