This is a point A place, come in, nurse, intake they find a floor according to your needs. I have to be here between 3/4 weeks, get placed into a shelter, after 90 days I have a place waiting for me. You have to go through the system to get anything. They'll help you, you must be willing to help yourself. Lots of women, estrogen, hormones, just mind your business, keep a determined focus and act as if you want to prosper and get your own. Staff here is nice as long as you carry and conduct yourself in a respectable manner. There are a looooot of worse places than this. They feed us good, hot food, free washer and dryers, arts and crafts, pool table, library, snacks and its always better than being in the street, or better than someplace you're not wanted or are in danger. They will help you reach Point B. Rest is up to you. Hope this helps. Stay safer, don't despair if you may have to stay a little longer than intended, find its in your best interest.
Yes, but There are rules about what you can bring into the shelter. And what you should have with you. There is No Glass. Or lighter's. Or Food. Or Perfume or drinks allowed in the shelter "no smoking" allowed. If you want an apartment it's best you go after you've been working for at least 6 months. You'll need an active public assistance case. Or not they'll help you set it up. If your staying for housing you'll need to complete the assignment. Intake- PPD - Pyc Evaluation. Be nice to security and talk to your worker often.
