I was living on the streets in 05. When I found out about streetworks projects or safe horizon. They took me in and helped out a lot. I'm sure things have changed since then but this place cared for its clients. Would love to speak to some of the counselors who remember me. Great work though glad to see you've expanded a lot more since I found you guy's.

Look for a place that offers PALS program, sponsored by Purina. When l went to a DV shelter l was able to bring my cat 🐈. They paid for all he needed, also dogs, fish, etc. I thinks it's People & Animals Living Safely .This was in a domestic violence shelter in NYC in 2020. Good luck.

Yes because that only leads to something worst! Verbal abuse is just as bad as physical abuse! It's a little worst because it can work on your mental if you're not mentally strong enough to stand it!

I was in DV shelter called URI in NYC, there were large families. You live basically in your own simple apartment in a secret location, BUT this organization only gives you a BREAK from abuser...you don't get help with housing, counseling, etc. So .....

My mom died june 3rd 2019. I was living with her in nycha on the lease. The has just been turned over to me with her rent in arrears of 6000 dollars. I am disabled my son lives with my life has been threatened by my brother and drug dealers.
