Hi James - if you are visiting a grave and do not have a family pass, you can request one when you arrive. Simply let the gate guard know you need to get a temporary pass, and they will tell you where to park while you go into the Welcome Center to get one. Alternately, you can request the graveside shuttle take you to and from the grave you're visiting.

Since my parents are buried there, I have a pass and they wave me through. You might have to go to the office and get a pass to drive through.

To be pacific you can come to the Arlington Cemetery Welcome Center to the information desk request a temporary vehicle pass but you must know exactly where you want to go. They're going to ask you for the section and grave site information to the burial location what you want to visit. Unfortunate as it stands right now Arlington Cemetery does not allow private vehicles to tour the cemetery
