Almost everyone can do Pilates. For some we will make accommodations depending on physical limitations.
Most people, regardless of condition, can benefit from Pilates under the supervision of an experienced Pilates instructor. If you have significant impairment, medical conditions or pain you should speak with your doctor before embarking on any fitness program including Pilates. Pilates is not a cardio or high energy form of exercise. Individuals looking to loose weight should combine Pilates (for strength, flexibility and tone) with cardio exercise.
