The voucher is $1,530 but the portion you'd pay is based on your income. If the house or apt, which you find, passes a rent reasonableness test, you can afford it. A three bedroom varies by area and it depends on the owner or property management how much they charge.
I am asking how to get any help with a rent? I have an application since 2016,sunset than I stopped to work, retire with a SS that even doesn't cover my rent, 3 years already I am almost homeless, hospitals, rehabs, shelters, provide rooms, weekly, that I can't afford, no one care, no one help me, I am cancer sick, I have diabetic neuropathy and now I have an eviction notice from October 25,I went to the court, they extended 10 days, after that I don't know where I will go, to not say that I barely can walk , because of diabetic neuropathy. In 2019 I spent mostly in hospitals and rehabs and I has a social worker. Now I don't have even that, somebody to advice me what to do. I am panicking, honestly I wish just one room. Don't I deserve a little help, I have worked till 71 years of age. Where is Social services, where is care about the seniors? All is just bla, bla, bla and your Medicare advantage plan and everything is b. s.
