Information you find online about what might be wrong with your set is rarely correct. At least once every couple of weeks somebody will bring in a set along with a box full of parts they bought because they 'Googled' it and none of those parts fixed the problem. The reason is that the info you find only applied to a few dozen sets out of thousands sold and people who followed that advice and failed rarely post the outcome. Some do though and if you read everything you find you will see that while some are happy to have fixed their set an equal number are crying the blues because they destroyed it. The Samsung capacitor problem WAS a real problem though it ended several years ago and unless your set is 8 - 10 years old I assure you that it is unlikely that a capacitor is causing your problem. We offer a free estimate, I will be happy to look at your set and determine a cost to repair it for you but I am about a week behind right now.
TV Tech is good at troubleshooting your TV problems and will tell you at usually no cost whether it's worth repairing or not, give them a call during business hours.
