True..I have taken many TV's , and they always tell what's wrong, how much it costs to repair, and if you want it fixed, before they get to work... Great place
No charge for diagnosis, it's free, last I checked and they tell you how much it's gonna cost before any work is begun
Your suspicion about bad LEDs may be correct but due to how interconnected modern television designs have become I can only be sure by opening it up and running some tests. We have no upfront charge for that, estimates are free but I am covered up with work and it could be up to a week - 10 days from the time you brought it in before I could actually look at it. LED replacement is the most labor intensive repair done today, requiring removal of the LCD panel to access and replace any bad LEDs. It can easily take several hours and probable cost is in the range of $140. This problem is caused by backlights being driven well beyond their maximum ratings straight out of the box and is found across all brands. As part of any repair I would modify the power supply to reduce the current flow through the LEDs to a safer level and in most cases they never fail again. A side effect of the modification is a slight reduction in maximum brightness.
I appreciate it. Thank you
