I have a Seiki SE65UY04 that has two issues: 1. Dim backlight. Picture plays fine but it's dark. It's not the settings, it's hardware related. 2. No audio. The volume controls work but no audio plays. How much to fix?

I would be happy to give you a free estimate on the cost to repair your set but would need to have it in the shop where I can determine what my own costs are before I can do that. The dim backlight can be caused by bad LEDs, a bad power supply, a bad driver board or even a bad main board. Modern Tvs are like computers now, they are so interconnected that virtually any section can cause a variety of symptoms. For the sound issue it would be worth your time to look in the audio section of the menu and be sure that the output is set to the Tv speakers and hasn't been accidentally changed to go out to an external sound system.

Thanks for your quick response! I've tried adjusting the audio settings. Actually, all the TV settings were reset when I got it. It was a facebook marketplace purchase that I was hoping to fix myself. I just can't find the boards online and don't have the level knowledge to fix it beyond just swapping out the boards. I was thinking of bringing it in to you. I appreciate the free diagnostic. I'll give you a call in a little while. Thanks!
