My mother wrote a letter and placed it in the Mail box back in 1997 or the beginning of 1998. My told me about the mailbox and what she did and she also said that maybe one day the letter will reach me. My mother had cancer and she was 54 years old.

Hey! Not sure when you actually asked this question to the fact there is no date! The items in the mail box are stored at NC College. There is a few people you can contact to try and find you letter in question! As to they have items still from the 60s even! The History department in the college is the area that holds the items and catalogs them to go in storage there!

I'm not sure where they end up, there is guy who empties it and keeps puts new notebooks in it. Not sure what he does with them
