Please don’t play here, it’s too good. They don’t overcharge like I generally prefer and the people are far too nice. I always have a great time here and being happy annoys me. Greens roll too clean so ball won’t bounce back on line, annoying. Ball sits up too high in the fairway… if I wanted tee’d up I’d do it myself. Otherwise an ok experience. Oh and the food made me over eat. Don’t play here 😉 so I can

My family went to NC for Labor Day weekend from Northern Virginia and chose Thistle Golf Club after reading that it is a two-century-old golf club. We had a great experience at this club. The staff was very friendly and we all felt that they really wanted to help the customers. We were taken aback by their enthusiasm in getting us prepared to get on the field by loading our golf bags onto the carts. The carts also had monitors with different options like requesting a replacement cart, ordering food, and even a course map with navigation ability showing the location of the cart and distance from the hole. Thistle Golf Club was the best experience of our Sunset Beach vacation. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant golfing experience!
