You can purchase parts or a new setup for your fireplace at Lowe's but they don't have a service that installs them so you'll have to hire a contractor for that part.
Yes you use the fire logs that is recommended for your fireplace. Don't use wood logs in that type of fireplace. I've never had to replace the logs in my gas fireplace.
