You can complete the process through the mail but we do need to see original documents such as the divorce decree, marriage certificate or probate document that verifies the reason for the name change. I would advise going to your local branch this way here you know for sure they got the paperwork and the right to nurture whatever versus talking on the phone so yes go to the branch
