In Nov 2019 I had a hearing test for new hearing aids. Why do I have to wait till April of 2020 to get them. My current right hearing aid is inoperative and not yet repaired.

I believe that all of the VA uses a single source for hearing instruments. When you consider the volume of need, there seems to be a long delay for any health related devices such as glasses and hearing aids. They may come earlier because the VA uses a canned response on wait times in hopes they under promise and over deliver. Patience Grasshopper.

My 95 yo father had to wait for 8weeks for his 1 new hearing aid D/t the fact that these hearing aids are made in Colorado it might take longer d/t not enough people in the factory, the VA has been using. Also the fact that your 1 hearing aid that does not respond or work ,call back to the VA at tyvola, and request the ear MD or tech to evaluate it or put a new battery. IT CAN BE VERY FRUSTRATING, however follow up is very important because there is always a backlog, have you had to have your ears cleaned out... it took 3X To get my Dad ears straight...GOOD LUCK.. thanks for your service...
