if you are a homeless veteran, contact Veterans Bridge Home and they will help you get connected to resources that can provide you with temporary shelter and/or permanent housing. https://veteransbridgehome.org/contact-us/ You will also need to call 2-1-1 or 888-892-1162 in order to be interviewed and assigned a HMIS (Homeless Management Information Systems) CE (Coordinated Entry) number that you will need to access resources in Mecklenburg County. Not sure if you will need it if you are outside of Mecklenburg, but they can tell you that. https://www.mecknc.gov/CommunitySupportServices/HomelessServices/Pages/CoordinatedAssessment.aspx Unfortunately, the process with Veterans Bridge Home can take a few weeks; it is not necessarily instant help. But better to get started on it so at least help will be forthcoming.

You need to go to Uptown Mens Shelter on North Tryon or Urban Ministry 945 N College Street.
