Well brattonsville is not a city but a plantation. They have minimum Christmas decorations due to it being an historical site. The closest town, Rock Hill, has a great Christmas celebration. Parades, snow for the kids and many other things. Look on their website for more information.
Christmas was not the celebration in the 18th and 19th centuries that it is today. F It was far less commercial and more heartfelt. There is some wonderful Christmas programming including special tours on the weekends preceding Christmas that demonstrate some of the varied historic celebrations. It is a wonderful way to learn about the holiday and our history.
Its not all that spectacular.
Yeah, they hang lights and stockings in the slave houses
I understand they decorate for Christmas with lights and candles but I have not been there at that time of year.
