Mark, everything you said was wrong. According to their website tickets are $30. Parking is on Concord but the aquarium is on 100 aquarium wharf. I was in the area and was looking at things to do. Came across the aquarium. Seemed interesting so I turned to Google reviews. When 80% of the sampled questions are asking about discounts they might be charging too much for what they have.
Please refrain from questions like these.

Hahaha.... It's really a decent aquarium for the price, but I'd definitely recommend a membership if you live in thr Charleston area
No it's a regular aquarium. They do have a gift shop for souvenirs
