Take the C train to 86th Street. Then walk through Central Park to East side. Met on right side
My daughter pulled up maps and it shows directions to subways and she got us to the met that way....i would pull up google and see if it shows subways and destinations...she did everything on her phone we had no paper map
I used Google Maps, which connects to MTA to keep up with track maintenance and other issues. Just open Google Maps, search Metropolitan Museum of Art, and click directions. It will show you everything, including which subway to take, and how many stops there will be.
Not being a local idk, but if you check the MTA website or look at a map it will be very clear....you may have to take a subway, then hop on a bus to avoid a walk, but its easy to get to....heck, everywhere is easy to get to in Manhattan
The new Q line is the best direct link. Involves some walking on both ends.
