All beautiful, difficult to make a choice
I liked all of the Monet paintings
agree with Sue Bella, I would have to spend a month there.
Wow how do you choose a favorite painting in the vast collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art? There's so much of the museum I still haven't seen yet! Being a lover of sunflowers and a lover of Van Gogh's art I guess I would choose that. His sunflower paintings are all over the world in many different museums. I believe the Metropolitan holds just one called "Sunflowers" 1887. It is just of the sunflower heads, so not as famous and glorious as some of the ones in vases that you might find elsewhere. Still worth seeing! The beautiful and well known one of the "Irises" is also here, so be sure to check that out as well as the rest of the Van Gogh collection while there. 🌻
I would say, most of the Impressionists wing. But if i had to pick just one, it would be Irises, or First steps, by Van Gogh
I really enjoyed most of Cezanne's works and particularly enjoyed the card players by Paul Cezanne. Degas' works were also very enjoyable and the 14 year old dancer sculpture, a true work of art.
Katrina Disaster painting in the Acheson-Wallace wing.
Angels Visit to Mary
First steps after millet and piazza san marco and the storm and springtime and Oedipus and the Sphinx
Woman before mirror
Irises.
Christmas Tree, which is back at the usual spot.
Van Gogh's "Roses"
The Van Gogh wing never disappoints and also the Surrealism exhibit is a must see!
