Neighborhood is fine. There are really a lot of homeless people a block from the white house. Didn't see any near our hotel.
There are a lot of homeless in the area. My wife and kids were harassed at the near by McDonald's and drug store. They weren't threatening, just pushy about getting money
We dis not have any issues the nights we stayed. Hotel itself isnt too bad, staff was always nice and respectful
The neighborhood does look sketchy, but I've stayed a few times with no issues other than slow valet workers. I highly recommend it.

We had no issues. The rooms were nice. The hotel is under renovation. Had no issue with homeless. I wouldn't cancel your reservation.
There's quite a bit of construction in this area. There are also homeless people everywhere in the world. I dont feel there's anything to be worried about. I stay there roughly 6-15 times a year and have never been harrassed by a homeless person
The neighborhood looks bad because the area is being renovated. It's in that stage when it looks worse before it gets better. We used the valet parking to park when we arrived and used Lyft and Uber to get around. We never felt unsafe and we had our child with us. There were many other families doing the same.
