Unfortunately rain does not close down the park. Take an umbrella or wear a raincoat. It is still nice to see the animals as they tend to like the rain. We were there yesterday. It rain off and on but it was still nice. Be mindful of you have a stroller you will have to park it outside to view some of the exhibits.
Also please note that if the rain has been in the forecasts for many days they will not consider a raincheck. Common sense based.
In the summer the rain feels better than the 100 degree heat
Unfortunately there aren't many places to hide the rain. We always go on sunny days.
If it rains, wear a raincoat. The animals love cold and rainy!
