As was said earlier, it is not free. It is a great place for children. There are 2 pools. One for lap swimmers and the other for children.
No. You can pay by the day though - i think it's like $7 for an adult and a bit less for kids.
With $54 for 20 sessions, or $120+ for 6 months of unlimited access, it is essentially free. Large pool is mostly for lap swimming or swimming groups. It should be shallow enough for regular- sized 11 year old to stand on one side of lane, while the depth on the other is safe for starting from blocks. The water temperature is high enough for slow swimming, too warm if you plan to train hard, but for a child it should ok for any regiment. As a lap-swimming adult, I am not qualified to talk about instructional pool, which is also available.
