For a couple years, I have made an effort to come in to this store to purchase my fly fishing and camping gear, rather than shopping online. However, that time has come to an end. The quality of customer service has dropped significantly since I first started shopping here, and has become quite terrible as of late. I walked in today with my mind set on buying a new pair of wading boots, but after ten minutes of standing in front of the boot wall, watching the staff talk amongst themselves at the front counter, I put the boot I had been holding back on the shelf and walked out seemingly unnoticed. My experiences there lately have all been pretty similar to this one. Since the store staff clearly doesn't not want to spend their time assisting customers, I will save their time and mine by taking my money somewhere else, which probably means spending it online or at REI. If you are looking for outdoor gear expertise and great customer service, you unfortunately will not find it here.
