The South Shore Randolph station is 5 city blocks away. And a Brisk Pace that's about 10 minutes. Taking your time just over 15. I use a cane and have mobility issues and I was able to make it to the train in 15 minutes.
Not sure Randolph station is the closest. If you get a transfer from south shore to metro you will be ok
