For the special event, terracotta, they sold out during the day the first time I went to go. So I ordered the tix, the morning of the day I wanted to go

You can buy tickets when you arrive. Some exhibits you need to pay extra because they are special exhibits. For example, the Terracota Warriors exhibit costs extra money.
