No Ma'am. Moore Humane Society is a private, nonprofit animal welfare organization incorporated in 1966. We are the founders of animal welfare in the Sandhills. Moore Humane Society operates the only privately funded, state licensed, animal shelter in Moore County and practices "no-kill" philosophies. We are not part of Moore County government or Animal Control. We receive no government support of any kind or funding from any other organization. Private donations are our only source of income.
They are not. They operate the only privately funded shelter in the area and are not funded by any government agency. They only work off donations from the community. They are licensed by the state as a no-kill shelter though!
