Made several complaints about a dog that was being starved to death but they said legally they could not do anything and the dog ended up dying

Sheriff J. Brady was our Godsend today. She got a wheelchair and helped my 94-year -old ambulatory impaired mother to the Clerk of Court office, to the Estate office, back to the bathroom in the Clerk of Court building and back into our car. Officer Brady was a true public servant and our angel. Moore County is blessed to have such a special person representing it!

I have adopted several kittens from here over the years and the shelter is always bright and clean and the animals are well cared for. My grown children advised me recently that black kittens make exceptionally friendly and entertaining pets. I already have one adult neutered male black cat who is very loving and playful that I adopted from here a few years ago so just adopted this gorgeous little black female today. Lisa was very helpful during the meet and greet encounter explaining the backgrounds and personalities of the two black kitten siblings available for adoption. Here are the baby pictures of my other 3 kitties I have adopted from here previously and how cute they have grown up. Please support this shelter. It is phenomenal and we are lucky to have it.

It is better to call the NC Department of Wildlife. They will be able to put you in touch with someone who can help (called a damage control agent). They will help you find someone who is licensed for animal rehabilitation.
