Now that "Real ID" is not a "must have" till Oct. 2021- anyone know if a valid Drivers license w/pic is good enough? I've called all day but end up on hold. My mother has a serious health issue & I need to see her. Pls help. Thx so ooooo!!

For now any ID or Drivers license is good.. come October 2021 you will need it for sure

My regular photo drivers license worked perfectly for me yesterday at CLT.

Driver's License with picture worked perfectly fine for me yesterday as well, only form of ID needed currently.

You can fly with a regular Driver's license until October 2021. After that date you have to have a star on your driver's license. I just flew and do not have the "real ID" yet and had no problems.

My passport worked well.. Just go with any of your regular ID and you'll be fine. Though I don't have a Carolina ID but from a different state.

Thank you all so much!!! Now can you find my son on the Appalachian Trail? His tracker hasnt moved one foot since early yesterday morning. Being a mom is so friggin hard & so is being a daughter of a mom with afib. Im having a melt down but at least i know i can fly to the west coast to be with my mom. Thank you all soooo much!!
