NYS has very restrictive gun laws. In NYC, more so, no one without a pistol permit can handle a handgun. Westside does allow people to take a short safety course and fire a .22 rifle that you can rent at the range. You should call them directly to ask about pricing, age and any other restrictions. The staff is very friendly. If your interested in firing handguns and assorted rifles of larger caliber, best to take a trip into Penn. the nearest state which allows it. Again, you should call ahead to find out any restrictions they might currently have. Please understand that gun laws vary greatly from state to state, and change often.

Not in NYC. Most ranges have it at 13 years old outside of nyc. In nyc its 18 before you can do anything fun related.
