My ID expires in October. Will I get a renewal notice or do I have to call them? Thank you for your help in advance. Richard

Richard, renewal notices are sent out at least 60 days in advance of the expiration date. If you did not receive one, it may be hung up in the mail. You are within the renewal period. You can renew your ID by mail or by dropping off the renewal form found here http://www.dmv.ri.gov/documents/forms/license/License%20App%20v2%20RI.pdf to any DMV office during business hours. The mailing address is: R.I. Division of Motor Vehicles, 600 New London Ave., Cranston, R.I. 02920. Please include a copy of your ID along with your contact information.

Hmmm I'm not sure about ID but I received a letter for my license. I was also able to renew it online. Try checking to see if you can do that online.
