The community is very aware of outsiders who enter the neighborhood. Plus there is an access gate that is closed 6 pm to 6 am at the entrance. Requires remote control to enter. I'd be more worried about someone trying to steal bank account or credit card number than breaking in to steal a TV.
The gate won't keep anyone out. That said, people here do pay attention and will note when something doesn't seem right. I have not personally experienced any problems. Once in awhile you will hear about something - but it's not by any measure a high crime park. It's mostly retirees and snowbirds. Just take the normal security measures you would anyplace else - lock your car doors, etc. Common sense. But no, it's a very safe park.
No..the gate has been open day and nite for 4 months now. Even when the gate is working, there are other ways outsiders get in. The fence is only in one place in the front. There is an open area in the back that you can get in from sw 200 and even in the front on the side their is open area where you can walk in even when gate is closed. When there is crime here in the community, management does not tell you . You have to hope that a neighbor will make you aware. There have been robberies here. While I have been a resident. And I'm only here a year and a half. We have put our house up for sale, along with many others.
