I did this once and I was chased by a raccoon because it wanted my food. My suggestion is to make sure it's a sealed lunch until you plan to eat it, at least, then you might be able to keep your lunch... yours 😄
I say that would be a lovely lunch. They have trash cans through the park and trails as well as benches.
