Manatees arent always easy to spot as they dont quite break the surface like dolphins and other water mammals. You'll often miss spotting them, but know you missed them by hearing them take their big deep breath! It takes patience to spot manatees but worth the wait.

Yes a lot of manatees all throughout Turkey Creek

Brigitte Whitlow | Sep 19, 2018

Yes you can see manatees as soon as the weather warms up you can also see them at goody Park

I love Turkey Creek! I've never seen a manatee there though but I'm sure they are there. I have seen them at Sabastian Inlet about 20 miles south of Palm Bay on Route A1A. There are plenty of opportunities to observe them on the Gulf Coast at Homosasa Springs. Enjoy!

We saw one manatee here, but there are other areas with a better chance. Desoto had tons.

It's pretty rare but they do show up every once in a while. Crane Creek Promenade in Melbourne is better for setting manatees.

I have never seen manatees here but that doesnt mean anything. Maybe they can be seen here every once in awhile. I know Blue Springs you can see manatees for sure.

Manatees are much easier to spot from a kayak, they are there and most times you'll hear them before you see them. Best viewing when they come from the water to eat greenery from the banks.

This summer, was playing PoGo with a friend. We were glued to our phone screens when walking past the Kayak Launch area and both of us got scared and jumped when a loud like snort sound came from the water and we saw two manatees just strolling by. Startled us but glad they did.

When there are manatees you can usually spot that from the high observation deck. They partially come out to eat grass on the banks. Have also had a Florida panther run across us on the boardwalk once. Have never seen one again, but there is at least one residing there. Was not agressive and seemed to be scared by us and just ran right past us on the boardwalk.

I have actually seen and taken pictures of manatees at Turkey Creek Park. They are sensitive to the weather.
