Can one buy the lot with the home. Because to buy a home n pay that amount of lot rent is pretty pricey. N being it goes up every yr doesnt help retirees. I think lot fee is pretty high. Any suggestions?

No you only rent lot, rent will only go up every year causing homes on them to go down in price or get abandoned and left for resale.

Thanks for your question ... StrawBerry Ridge is a leased land community. An overwhelming majority of 55+ manufactured housing communities in Florida are set up this way do to the affordability. The home purchase price is much lower allowing you to save your assets for future needs. The monthly lot lease fee is comparable to other communities in the area that offer a similar amount of activities and amenities that we do. The fees are subject to a 0-5% increase annually; this is regulated by the state so it will never exceed 5% in a given year. When comparing "apples to apples," StrawBerry Ridge is competitively and affordably priced. Hope that helps! Feel free to call us if you have any further questions: 800-888-3789.

You only rent the lot. You cannot buy the lot. But if you compare to home owners association dues, we are getting off cheap for the amenities we have. There are parks with less amenities that are lower lot rent. My rent only went up a couple dollars this year. Each lot is different and it depends on the length of time you have been there. There are no parks in the area that I know of where you buy the lot.
