Are people allowed to come in a pet and/ or play with the cats and/ or dogs without being volunteers. How does this process work? Like do you call first?

We are currently only open via appointment for adoptions. In order to interact with the animals you will need to be a volunteer or have an appointment. For more information on our adoption process please visit http://petadoption.guilfordcountync.gov Thank you!

Yes, you can come in to meet the cats and dogs whenever they are open to the public. No need to call ahead. You need to find a staff member or volunteer to get the dogs out of their kennels. If you do come to play instead of adopt, you may consider leaving a small donation (jars at the front desk in the lobby) to the shelter to help out. The shelter is always in need of additional resources.
