No you don't have to be there they will leave a note for you depending on how big the package is
If you have to sign for it they will not leave it but if you don't have to sign for it they can leave it but if they do they leave a yellow slip on your door and they just you can call for delivery!
Depending on how secure is your front door. If The driver doesn't leave the box ,he would leave you a communication notice. They would try three times. If you have a secure area ,leave a signed notice with instructions for the driver & most likely they would leave it.
If it is set up for no signature required then no. If not go gome get naked and put on bunny slippers and answer the door holding a cobb of corn in one hand and a jar of vasoline in the other while smiling.
