Yes and no. There is partial fencing at the entrance and surrounding the beach area. However, the lower paths on either side are not. That said, it's over 55 acres. If you can't control your animal in that area you should probably put them on a leash.
Yes, canines should be leashed in the parking lot and only let off leash after entering the fenced-in area.

So there is a chance my dog could escape the dig park area? The entire area is not fenced in? My hound has never been off his leash.

In addition the sides are fun traffic during the off season except for the occasional snow. However, once it gets above 70°F, you need to be concerned what's in the tall grass and around the rocks - Vipers caused many deaths over the years I've been going. Advise you stick to the main playing & swimming areas. Beware of the plentiful fleas and tics too to remain safe and have an enjoyable experience on your peek season visits. #LocalGuide
