I am not a resident and I just visit a friend who lives there pretty often. I don't know exactly what you mean by Independent Living. These are individual Apartments people rent. So people do live alone or perhaps with another person or two. That's really all I know about it. It's a nice place. I would suggest calling the office of Gateway Terrace and asking specific questions
