Good question. Our exhibits and programs are all geared toward ages 9 and younger. While we see a lot of older siblings here, whether or not a young teen finds enough to do depends on each individual. Definitely plan on spending a lot of time in the Tinker Lab, where a teen can build and create (safely and with supervision) with real tools like a bandsaw and sewing machine. The special exhibit upstairs often includes elements that are challenging and more appealing to an older demographic, too.
While i agree there is much more for younger children, there are also activities an older child may like- a creative lab to build things, a facepainting station, and a science show.
Yes there’s plenty to do for young and old
It is definitely geared toward younger kids.
