Wow! If you're in the Omaha area and have kids this is a fantastic place to visit. There are hours and activities for kids of all ages to enjoy. Add to that the special exhibits (had a space exhibit when we were there) and you're kids will have a blast. Friendly staff and plenty to do. They even have an area for infants so there really is something for everyone.

We have enjoyed our trips to the Children's Museum each time we go! The staff is friendly and cheerful. I love that there is something for every age group of kids, as well as changing themes. Another fantastic thing is that there are bathrooms (including family bathrooms) located all throughout the facility. You don't have to travel far with your toddler who is potty training. They are not just pro LGBTQ+, they introduce themselves with their pronouns and there are a few pride flags. This is important to some families, but not mine. I don't agree with pushing this agenda on children, so that's the only reason I give them 4 stars.

Yes, as long as you still have your stickers on. You can also bring your own lunch.
Not at this time.
Yes, there is admission to enter the museum. It's $13 for kids and adults, $12 for seniors, and free for children under 24 months. A family membership may be purchased and that allows admission into the museum for 12 months, as well as reciprocal membership that provides admission into more than 250 science centers around the U.S.
They have a couple of coolers with overpriced items, I'd recommend eating before you go.
Yes you can. Stop at pay customer service counter.
Hi Janet, Yes we're open! Our current hours are Wednesdays through Sundays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. On special event weekends, we're open until 5 p.m. on Fridays-Sundays.
Unfortunately I don't kmow..My employer has a membership.
Good question! Any child under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a caretaker who is aged 16 or older.
Admission is $13 for children and adults, $12 for seniors, and free for children under 24 months of age and member families.
Good question. Our exhibits and programs are all geared toward ages 9 and younger. While we see a lot of older siblings here, whether or not a young teen finds enough to do depends on each individual. Definitely plan on spending a lot of time in the Tinker Lab, where a teen can build and create (safely and with supervision) with real tools like a bandsaw and sewing machine. The special exhibit upstairs often includes elements that are challenging and more appealing to an older demographic, too.
Members - FREE Under 24 months - FREE Adults & Kids - $13 Seniors - $12
We find our exhibits and programs best serve families with children ages 0-9. With rotating exhibits several times a year and daily programs that change frequently, families discover new things every visit!
They do a free day 2 times a year they also offer discounts to people with ebt so the membership is super cheap
Hi Francis, we do not have a permanent dinosaur exhibit, but create a new temporary exhibit every few years. The next dinosaur exhibit will be called Diggin' Dinos, and it will run from Oct. 12, 2019 through April 11, 2020.
Starts at $129/year for family membership (+20/cardholder) or $13/person (including children over 2 years old) under 2 is free. Seniors are $12.
Hi Vicki - Please call the museum at 402-342-6164 and ask to speak with someone in the Education Department. They will know what is needed for upcoming programs and Tinker Lab projects.
Hi Essence, yes we do. Here's more information about working at the museum: http://www.ocm.org/about/employment-volunteers/

Hi Debbie - Admission is $13 per person. If you plan on visiting multiple times this year, a membership would be your best option.
Buy a family pass if you live in the area. It is $13 for anyone over two until senior pricing which is 60 and over for $12. It also cost $2 for the carousel and train rides.

Hi Charis - May is not one of our busier months for field trips. To make sure the experience is enjoyable for everyone, we set a limit on how many children on field trips can be at the museum at any given time. If you call the museum ahead of time, 402-342-6164, our receptionist can tell you if there are any field trips expected that day and the number of students we anticipate.
I agree I'm pretty sure they check an ID as well.
Yes you can! You can choose any amount.
