We really like to ride our bikes around the lake and go to the swimming pool. My only complaints are that while riding bikes there are a lot of blind corners that other cyclists take way too fast, way too many people walking the paths have earbuds in making them completely unaware of people trying to pass them, and the blue and yellow playground has had a sign nearby with a picture on it that says coming soon for over 2 years.

Yes there is a Beach area near 168th Street on the North side. It's a sandy beach area and it's okay for swimming if you're not afraid of all the bacteria and waste runoff that flows into this lake. ⚠️⛔

Yes but contact the park management to reserve an area and pay the fee.
We've had 2 birthday parties there and never made a reservation. But honestly I'm not sure.
Mostly Bluegill, minows, crappie, salmon, piranha, flounder, octopus, electric eel and bottle nose dolphin. There have also been a few puffer fish caught during ice fishing season. 🐡
How much do you know about stellar observation? Did you know the light pollution from outdoor lighting in cities will greatly diminish the perceived brightness of the stars? To view stars to their fullest potential you should travel 20 miles outside the outer edges of the metropolitan area.
Don't know check with Nebraska Park and Game
Julie Hemmingsen, Have you ever paddled up the inlet that goes west under 180th and continues behind the Walmart? I don't know how much garbage runoff gets into the water. Probably lots
A fishing license is required for all persons 16 and older wanting to fish in Nebraska.
No. It gets very busy on weekends and even weekday nights are crowded when weather is good.
No. It is not legal to camp there as the park closes at 10PM every night.
There is no Park fee but it's good to have a Nebraska State Park sticker.
Never seen any Horse with its rider 😁. You have chariot ride ride in downtown Omaha. Maybe you can try that.
Yes they do have a very nice playground for the kids and enough open space to play Frisbee or croquet . Lovely park beautiful in the Spring and Fall.
Yeah there were a few but someone caught them. All that's left right now are salmon, piranha, bottlenose dolphins and some octopus.
Nope it's mostly walking/biking/running trails, playground and picnic areas
There are grills and picnic tables set up throughout the entire park but some of these odd people have taken the picnic tables and drag them all the way to the water's edge or actually place them in the water near the shoreline. I don't know who these Oddball people are who do this but there's a shortage of picnic tables now.
Its required to have a PFD in the kayak or any watercraft but it does not need to be worn.
Yes, different shelters in different areas. Some shelters have partial enclosures (main shelter through pool attraction entrance, for instance), others just have roofs, suppots and concrete slab floors (no walls, but you could put up tarps). You will need to reserve in advance on their website.
I've never seen anything stating "no sledding", and it is not posted on the rule boards at each entrance. But i have not seen designated areas for sledding, either.
Zorinsky Lake Pool is a typical modern public family pool, with shallow walk-in area for little ones, and the standard pool park equipment. Not free, part of Omaha municipal pools.
Yes it is free. It's a no wake dam site. so pretty much fishing boats only and no swimming. There are several playgrounds around the lake. There is also a walking trail around the lake.
No
