Just read in the Union that you are making room for more beds to accommodate those who don't pass the breathalyzer test, WHY? Those beds should go to those who are clean and sober and DESERVE it!

Hospitality House opened up 15 more beds for at total of 69 beds last week (cots in the dining room) for those who pass the breathalyzer test. The very first night all the beds were taken. There is a need for additional shelter beds that are in an easy to access dorm, even for those who are physically disabled. It also allows Nevada County to follow the tried-and-true approach of "Housing First". Visit the shelter to ask all your questions!
