Does this shelter allow for the donation of gently used toys for the children? We typically donate my son’s toys to Salvation Army stores but would love to donate them to children in need directly.

It depends on the space, you can call to see if they are accepting any since Christmas just left. Just fyi for anyone who reads, we are always accepting baby donations (i.e. Diapers, wipes, clothes, etc.) Toys I'm not sure right now but we do get some stuff from time to time.
