This organization is very helpful, and they want the best for individuals. I feel that their philosophy is to TEACH a person HOW to fish, instead of just GIVING fish, which has been very helpful. Assisting with technical classes is life-changing, and resourceful. Not only are you able to gain the certifications that you need if you're focused, you can apply those skills to obtaining jobs to provide for your family. Andrea Adams has been so helpful, and the organization as a whole has been going above and beyond, and using funding to help out where needed!

The gentleman I was in contact with was very unprofessional. Once I sent in my original documentation, I asked for an email confirmation just stating that my paperwork was received so I could forward it to my apartment complex so they could drop the eviction case against me and he wouldn't do it. Said it didn't feel right. Which makes no sense because he called me to confirm that he received the documents so why couldn't he send me an email saying the same thing. He also told me that my unemployment paper work from Maryland wasn't enough but I didn't have the exact paper he was asking for. Maryland did not provide me with it. I asked again for an email stating that I sent in the paperwork and if I was being considered or not and he never responded to my email or returned my calls. Not saying the whole company is bad but I think they need some training in professionalism. We are out her struggling and trying not to get evicted. The least you could do is return someone's phone call or respond to an email. Its been three weeks since our last communication and I still have yet to hear anything back. I hope no one else has to go through this. It is really frustrating when you're just trying to get some help and the people that are supposed to help you cant communicate effectively.

I am a disabled vet with a financial hardship and I was looking for assistance with this organization! They have no interpersonal skills! They never seemed like they wanted to help me! I was denied assistance in an email! After giving all the documents requested, a filter tell me why I was denied assistance! They didn't even had the professionalism to put it on paper and send it to me like normal organizations do. Some of the people I dealt with with were very deceptive! I have shared my information with all the proper authorities!

I'm not sure about CAF but you can get food from Loaves and Fishes,704.523.4333, you WILL need a referral. They also still have their POP up pantry. You will not need a referral for that. But I'm not sure how much longer that program will be going on. Just go online at this link: https://loavesandfishes.org/food-share You will not get as much but you do get a vast amount of staples. Meat, veggies etc. You will need to register at a location of your choice so they will know how many clients to have food for. For Charlotte Area Fund just give them a call, they are very informative and helpful.
