I am removing a few trees from my property to install solar panels, but I just discovered a red bellied woodpecker nest with babies about twenty feet up. Looking for advice. Should I just top the tree above the nest?

If you could save the tree until they leave that would be excellent hope it all works out for the birds. :-)

Not an expert: but it seems like the birds should be able to fly on their own in a few weeks, perhaps just hold off on that tree till they leave.
