God forbid you return an animal you will be labeled as a person with unrealistic expectations and not allowed to volunteer or adopt ever again you will be told not to come back to the shelter the two women are Lynn and Gretchen who work there
Please call first. I volunteer there (Oconee Humane Society), and I believe the intake is with the Animal Control office next to the Humane Society; after about a week, for safety/health reasons, if all's well, then the animal is transferred to the Humane Society (they share a building but are two separate entities). They (Animal Control) aren't open on weekends, so ck first, if you need to go then.
I agree. Everyone has been correct, but Katrina's answer is the most thorough.
No. But if you donate money towards their adoption it helps them to get adopted sooner.
No. It does not cost anything.
Katrina is correct.
No. It doesn't cost anything. You'll need to fill out a paper with any information you have on the animal and your name and address so they can contact you if they have questions.
