If you are referring to the artwork on the front of the main entrance, that is a piece by El Anatsui, a contemporary artist who works with found materials to create massive sculptures. If you are referring to the neon names that go around the top of the building, that is an installation by artist Tavares Strachan, who wanted to highlight the names of people who have contributed to history and culture but have often been overlooked in historical memory. Both works are part of the ongoing 'Carnegie International' exhibition, which will be up until March 25, 2019.
